Dr. Scott Small is double board certified in Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Management. He attended medical school in southern California at Western University of Health Sciences where he graduated with honors in 2007. He then went on to complete his residency in anesthesiology at the University of Connecticut and graduated in 2011. He worked as an anesthesiologist in Orange County for two years where he specialized in ultrasound guided regional anesthesia and post-operative pain management. In 2013 he decided to pursue a fellowship in chronic pain management at the University of Texas in San Antonio. Since that time, he has practiced pain management in Orange County.
Dr. Small focuses on a multimodal approach to pain management that combines therapeutic exercise, medication management, and interventions to restore function and improve patient’s lives. He is an expert in advanced pain management techniques including ultrasound guided nerve blocks, stem cell therapy, and spinal cord stimulation.
