Julie’s interest in health led her to work in both Pharmaceutical Research and Development and in Clinical Research coordinating trials for Parkinson disease, stroke/CVA, Alzheimer disease, multiple sclerosis and migraine headache therapeutics. Taking a break to raise her own children, Julie re-connected with her love of science and passion for promoting wellness by studying Eastern Medicine and Qigong.  She earned her Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2014. Julie also teaches Qigong exercises having completed ACTCM’s Qigong Teacher Training Program in San Francisco with the late Dr. Suzanne Friedman.  One of Julie’s strengths as an Acupuncturist is being able to bring her strong foundation in science to inform her ability as an integrative holistic healer. She is particularly interested in supporting her patients’ wellness and promotes balance in addressing pain, trauma, stress, headaches, insomnia, hormonal imbalances, PMS, fatigue, depression, and anxiety. Julie brings a very compassionate presence to her treatments and strives for a painless approach in practicing acupuncture.
