Am Krista V. Halal, RN, BSN, MSN, FNP-C graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from New Jersey City University, New Jersey in 2010 and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, nursing’s National Honor Society, the same year. She has spent the last 7 years caring for patients in a variety of settings, including the cardiac-telemetry unit at St. Michael’s Medical Center. She also has taken care of patients with acute and chronic diseases, such as acute and chronic injuries and pain. She graduated with a master’s degree in nursing, in 2015 from Rutgers University, New Jersey. She was nationally certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner in January of 2016 and assumed her first job as a Nurse Practitioner in Hollister, California after relocating in the West Coast. In 2017, she moved to Fairfield, California where she found the job that she knew she would love with IPM Medical Group.
Am Krista believes that patient education is one of the most important aspects of pain management. It helps patients better cope with their pain and promotes patient involvement in their healthcare.
Outside of work, Am Krista loves spending time with her husband, their newborn son, and their 2 dogs. She enjoys cooking, watching movies, and going on trips with her family and friends.
